Since 1979, the Kentucky Associated General Contractors Self Insurers’ Fund (known simply as the “Fund”) has successfully operated as a group self insurers’ fund in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, offering affordable workers’ compensation insurance premiums to contractor-related risks as an alternative to the traditional insurance marketplace.

Having entered its 31st year of operation, the Fund insures over 5,600 member companies. In addition to providing highly competitive pricing and unrivaled customer service, the Fund is extremely proud to be the ONLY workers’ compensation group self-insurers’ fund in the state of Kentucky to have earned the coveted and prestigious A.M. Best rating. In fact, the Fund has maintained its “A-, Excellent” rating since 1998.

In addition to providing a current competitive rate structure, the Fund, through the efforts of its Board of Trustees, participating Trade Associations and Third Party Administrators, combined with the collective efforts of its member companies and Independent Agent population, has returned dividends to its members for the past sixteen (16) consecutive years totaling in excess of $79.9 million.
